iFilm English TV to wave goodbye to ‘Setayesh’

iFilm English TV Channel has set to air the final episode of ‘Setayesh’ series on Sunday night.

The final episode for the series, produced by Arman Zarrinkoub and directed by Saeed Soltani, will be aired on January 7, 2024.

In the series, Taher has just finished two years of military service, defending Iran against Saddam Hussein’s war of aggression.

His friend, who’s deserted the frontline, wants Taher to help smuggle him out of the country. Despite his better judgment, and at the insistence of his friend’s sister, Setayesh, he agrees.

Taher and Setayesh eventually grow fond of each other and make plans to marry. But a tragedy causes a great gap between their families that threatens to keep the two from ever finding happiness together.

The most notable on the cast list are Daryoush Arjmand, Gohar Kheirandish, Mahmoud Azizi, Narges Mohammadi, Fariba Naderi, Zahra Saeedi, Mehdi Pakdel, Mehdi Solouki, and Jamshid Mashayekhi.

The long list of the cast goes on with Hadis Miramini, Sima Tirandaz, Shiva Khonyagar, Azita Lachini, Maryam Boubani, Farahnaz Manafi-Zaher, and Mohammad-Reza Iranmanesh.

The first season of ‘Setayesh’, produced in 2010, will be replaced by its sequel from Monday night.
